The model buildings, of course, are one of the most expensive things about owning a model railway, which is why many people go for low relief model buildings. These are buildings that only the front is complete and the back is just blank.

What are printable buildings? -- These are model buildings that are created especially for model railway lines. You buy them in sets on the Internet, download the file to your computer and then print them out on paper or cardboard. Once printed, you can cut around them, glue them to sturdy cardboard and assemble low relief model buildings with them. Once displayed, they look just like the real thing.

Where to find affordable low relief buildings -- Do a search for online stores that sell them and compare prices. In most cases, you will find one or two stores that have a wide collection of buildings and sell them at a cheap price.

How many will you need to buy? -- It is entirely up to you as to how many buildings you have displayed on your railway line.
